How To Perform The Single Arm Standing Reverse Cable Curl
The athlete performs the single arm standing reverse cable curl by grabbing a hand attachment on a low set cable tower. The athlete should keep the arm tight to the side, the grip on the hand attachment should be overhand. Now, the athlete will move the arm from an extended state, to a flexed state. This is done by pulling up on the hand attachment. This will utilize the strength in the biceps. Once the weight is about two to two inches from the shoulder, the athlete can return the weight to starting position. Once the athlete has completed the desired number of reps on one side, the athlete should complete the same number on the opposite arm.
Single Arm Standing Reverse Cable Curl Tips
Spotting the exercise: To spot the single arm, standing, reverse cable curl, the spotter should stand to the side of the athlete lifting hand. The spotter should assist the athlete in keeping the elbow tight to the side if the athlete is unable to do so. Also, when the athlete can no longer perform the exercise unassisted, the spotter will help the athlete by pushing up on the wrist and hand attachment.

In theory, this will increase the efficiency of power transfer from the elbow to the hand.
